POSTED: 3rd Apr

With just 11 days to go until Securex West Africa 2019, we've put a few key questions to some of our valued exhibitors to give you a better insight into their brand, what you're likely to see showcased on their stand this year and exclusive insights into why this year's show will be an unmissable industry event.

We sat down with Lyndall Farrer, Dromex Marketing Manager and here's what he had to say:

Can you provide a quick overview of your company and the products/ solutions you offer?

Dromex believes that all employees are entitled to maximum protection and that employers should never have to compromise on the quality of the personal protective products they supply. As a leader in the category, we believe it is our responsibility to supply Personal Protective Equipment that will deliver on this promise and it is not something we take lightly.

All Dromex products are sourced from leading international partners – ensuring the best possible quality and technical standards. This includes specialist ranges such as Dromex Arc, Fire, Cut5 and other international brands that are highly esteemed in the PPE category. We believe you’re always entitled to maximum protection. And we’re here to make sure you always get it.

What made you decide to exhibit at Securex West Africa 2019?

After working with the Afrocet Montgomery for many years on many different shows, we are confident that we will be successful in our endeavour to reach the West African region by exhibiting at Securex.

What products/ solutions will you be showcasing or demonstrating at this year’s event?

While we offer a full range of PPE, our focus for Securex will be on our Specialised PPE solutions - Dromex Arc, Fire & Chem.

Why is the West African safety market in particular, an important one for Dromex to maintain a strong presence in?

The quality of our PPE products and the cost benefits will be of great advantage industry in West Africa and to the people working there - employers will be able to protect their staff with PPE that is approved to European standards at the best possible prices.

How is Dromex planning to remain at the forefront of safety technology?

Dromex works closely with many statutory bodies and organisations such as the NRCS and are members of the SABS Technical Committee, SAIOSH & SAPEMA, which ensures that our products meet the required technical standards and enables us to provide for the needs of the Health & Safety industry.

In addition, we keep vast quantities of high demand PPE at our 35 000sqm warehouse in New Germany, South Africa. Our modern receiving and despatch facilities mean that we can assist in quick despatch and prompt delivery.

As industry leaders, can you talk us through any recent exciting developments you’re working on?

We are proud to be launching our latest specialised range, Dromex Arc, which is a range that consists of protective BSD Arc Visors, 51 Cal Leather Gloves and workwear such as 9.6 cal/cm2 Arc Shirts, 21 cal/cm2 Arc Denims, 12.4 cal/cm2 Arc Suits. In the near future, the range will also include our 25 cal/cm2 & 51 cal/cm2 Arc Suits, undergarments and footwear.

What are your goals for Securex West Africa 2019?

Our aim is always to bring awareness – that you don’t have to pay premium prices for quality PPE and that the PPE you select is correct for its’ purpose, which is why our technical consultants will be available at our stand to discuss the options available.

Is there anything else you’d like us to highlight about Dromex?

“We believe that all employees are entitled to maximum safety protection and that employers should never have to compromise on the quality of PPE they supply their staff’ – Stel Stylianou, CEO.
