Interview with Afrisec ahead of Securex WA 2019
With just 11 days to go until Securex West Africa 2019, we've put a few key questions to some of our valued exhibitors to give you a better insight into their brand, what you're likely to see showcased on their stand this year and exclusive insights into why this year's show will be an unmissable industry event.
We sat down with Edward Van Trotsenburg, Managing Director at AFRISEC and here's what he had to say:
Can you provide a quick overview of your company and the products/ solutions you offer?
We are Integrated Multi-Domain Security and Building Management Specialists. We build the best in class tailormade security solutions for our partners based on their requirement. No one size fits all. We are also based in the region so support is local and personalized.
What made you decide to exhibit at Securex West Africa 2019?
Securex West Africa is the primary exhibition in the region covering Multi-Domain Security and we want people to see and experience our brand first-hand.
What products/ solutions will you be showcasing or demonstrating at this year’s event?
We are launching ANYVISION FACIAL RECOGNITION with BOSCH, SHOW INTEGRATED ESRI & GENETEC MAPPING as well as GEOSPATIAL INTELLIGENCE functionality, ADVANCIS our PSIM which brings multi-systems of all different types into one domain. GENETEC SECURITY our Homeland Security and Oil and gas UNIFIED solution with SUPREMA Face station, ABUS HOME AUTOMATION SOLUTION and launch of UNIVIEW 4K Video solutions integrated to all our VMS and SMS platforms.
What applications within the West African security market make it a focal point for investment?
Internet of things, Cloud, Smart phones, Cyber Security, Live positioning, analytics and forensics.
The global security industry is undergoing a massive digital transition with the introduction of AI, IoT and Blockchain technologies. How do you think this will impact the security and safety market?
We are at the forefront of this technology as our partners are all leaders in this technology.
How is Afrisec planning to remain at the forefront of this new digital era?
By embracing and evolving with the digital era and lots and lots of training.
As industry leaders, can you talk us through any recent exciting developments you’re working on?
We are working on quicker more efficient and eco-friendly ways to handle fire detection and suppression by offering a quicker reaction time using BOSCH AVIOTEC.
What are your goals for Securex West Africa 2019?
New business, brand building and networking.
