AVM Ben Chiobi (Rtd.)
Air Vice Marshal Ben Chiobi FSS, MSS, DSS, GSS, PSC, mni.
He is a retired military pilot who has flown 5 aircraft types in the Nigerian Air Force, the last of which was the heavy-duty transport plane Hercules C-130. He served in many capacities in his career. Notably were his appointments as Nigeria’s Defence Adviser to France with accreditation to eleven other countries and pioneer Commander of an elite unit of the Nigerian Air Force (Quick Response Force). He also commanded the National Air Defence Corp. Before his retirement, he held the appointments of managing the Directorate of Safety and the Directorate of Operations at the Defence Headquarters Abuja. He is also a trained Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Professional and a fellow of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON).
He is currently the founder of a new generation multipurpose security firm called SUNCAST SECURITY.
